My name is Thomas Daamen. As an exile from Cologne and a self-confessed Rhinelander, I was literally born with a zest for life, humor and empathy. And curiosity. And having the last word.
People and their stories, their approaches and motivations, their experiences and the conclusions they draw from them have fascinated me for as long as I can remember. It's exciting for me to observe these interpersonal relationships and recognize patterns. That's the real substance for storytelling! This is the basis for your speech.
It's certainly no coincidence that I ended up in marketing and sales as or despite being an industrial engineer. What counts here is being able to engage quickly with other people, read your counterpart and intuitively draw the right conclusions. You will therefore hear me ask “Why?” or “What does this mean for you?” much more often than we deal with a chronology of events.
Nach 20+ Jahren in globalen Konzernen, wo ich zuletzt als Marketingdirektor in Italien und Deutschland tätig war, war für mich die Zeit für eine Veränderung gekommen. Zu mehr Sinn, Tiefe und der Motivation, einen direkten Unterschied für Menschen zu machen. Seit nun über 3 Jahren kümmere ich mich als Familienvater hauptberuflich um unsere drei Kinder (10 Jahre alt, sowie die Zwillinge 4 Jahre alt). Und widme mich meiner wahren Berufung: dem Reden.

EU Certification WKO
The personal certification of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKO) is the highest EU-wide recognized qualification for independent speakers. For recertification, proof of regular further training must also be provided.
